Having just completed my first pastel commission, I believe rather successfully, I have uploaded an image of 'Meditative Moments...'
'Meditative Moments...' specifics:
Based on my signature piece for the Tucson 2006 Open Studio Tour, 'Waterlilies', the client who purchased Waterlilies later commission me for a larger piece.
'Meditative Moments...' was created in triptych on Wallis 'Belgium Mist' and 'White' paper, using the harder NuPastel as a base, Rembrandt semi-hard pastels for the initial and middle stages and Sennilier soft for the highlights.
The 3 images together measures 22" x 72" and is the most satisfying as well as challenging pastel I have yet created. More, please, more! I love this type of challenge.
